the fisher cats
who we are
We are the Fisher Cats, a Chicago-based group of friends and musicians who has recently formed into a collection of artists with a similar mission. We consist of five members, each with various capabilities on instruments and in songwriting. Through some friends of friends (and then some friends of friends of friends), we have found each other and have begun to experiment with new sounds that combine jazz, pop, and R&B styles.
We are led by Aiden Fisher, lead singer, songwriter, and ukelele extraordinaire. Grace Bobber sings backup, plays some percussion, and occasionally picks up a guitar. Chris Farrell is usually located at the keys, though he is also quite comfy behind a guitar or a microphone. Sam Russell is leading our strings both on acoustic and electric guitar, and doing some singing himself. Lastly, Peter Andresen is currently filling in for our usual drummer, Dimitris Goulimaris. We'll let you know if Petey ever agrees to sing with us.

Catch us playing at Uncommon Ground this September at their Lakeview location. We'll be performing a 30-min set as part of their Homegrown Residency program, helping sponsor new Chicago musicians. Check out more information on the event here.
In the month of October, we'll be rehearsing and writing new material to play for you! Stay tuned on our social media to catch the next time we'll be out gigging!
